Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the PowerTread mobile application (the “App”), provided by NoVa Solutions Group, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles your information.

1. Privacy-First Data Approach

PowerTread is designed so your workout data remains on your device by default. We do not collect or store your personal workout history, GPX course library, or structured workout files on our servers.

To improve reliability and product quality, we may collect limited anonymous diagnostic telemetry related to app crashes and errors. This data is used only to monitor stability, troubleshoot issues, and improve the App experience.

We do not intentionally use diagnostic telemetry to identify you personally, and we do not use it for advertising or sale of personal information.

2. Information Processed On Your Device

The App processes multiple data types locally on your device to provide functionality:

GPX Course Data: GPX files and course attributes (such as elevation and coordinates) are processed locally to simulate routes.
Treadmill and Sensor Data: Data from FTMS-compatible treadmills and Bluetooth sensors, including incline, running power, speed, distance, cadence, and heart rate (if connected).
Activity Data: Workout session information, including times, duration, pace/power/incline metrics, and course progress.
Device Information: Device model and OS version for local app operation; some app/device metadata may also appear in anonymous diagnostics sent to us.
Diagnostic Telemetry: Anonymous crash/error logs (for example app version, device model, OS version, timestamps, and stack traces) used strictly for troubleshooting and performance improvement.
Location Information: The App uses GPX route data for simulation, but does not track your live real-world GPS location.

3. How Information Is Used

To provide, operate, and maintain core features, including course simulation and treadmill control.
To display live workout metrics during runs.
To record and summarize workout activity on your device for personal review.
To generate and save workout FIT files locally.
To share workout FIT files with authorized third-party services when you choose to do so.
To detect, diagnose, and resolve crashes, bugs, and performance issues using anonymous diagnostics.

4. Sharing Your Information

Your personal workout data is not shared by NoVa Solutions Group except through actions you explicitly authorize:

Optional Third-Party Integrations: You may connect services like Strava. When authorized, data is shared directly between your device and the selected platform under that platform’s terms/privacy policy.
Your Control: You can authorize or revoke third-party integrations at any time from App settings.
Diagnostics Service Providers: We may use trusted providers to process anonymous crash/error diagnostics on our behalf, solely for app reliability and security support.

5. Data Security (On Device)

Because workout data is stored on your device, security depends heavily on your device protections and operating system controls. We recommend enabling device-level security features.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not store your personal workout data on our servers, your primary controls are in the App and your device settings:

Manage or delete locally stored workout data in the App.
Control permissions (such as Bluetooth) through your OS settings.
Authorize or deactivate third-party integrations at any time.
Use available in-app or platform controls for diagnostics/analytics preferences, where supported.

7. Third-Party Links

The App may include links to external websites/services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and you should review their policies directly.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
